Dear people living in the Mid-Atlantic States:
I know this record snow storm has come in as a big shock to you guys, as someone who lives in Michigan, I can understand what you are going through. But as someone who lives in Michigan I would also like to say: Shut the fuck up already. Yeah, it snowed a lot but it is not like you guys are going to have to curl up in the guts of a dead Tauntaun for warmth.
Seriously guys, this isn’t the end of the world. It’s not like the snow is going to hang around anyways; the last two times I went to Washington DC in the first week of March it was sunny and 70 degrees the whole time. I personally took that as a big F-U from the city. So I think you guys had this coming, kind of like a reverse Sodom and Gomorrah.
Plus it’s a matter of coverage. It snows 2 feet in DC and people call it a “Snowmageddon”. If it snowed 2 feet in Detroit the rest of the country would just say “pishaw, that’s what you get for living where it snows” or they would blame it on Kwame Kilpatrick and the Auto Unions. Either works.
So as someone who has lots of experience with lots of snow I would like to say those of you in the Mid-Atlantic States shocked by the storm: one two fuck you, deal with it.
